I went for more droopiness in the leaves, and wanted to see a shadow that had more shape to it! Two hours was nice as an introduction, but leaves you wanting to learn more, and make some more complex scenes.
After finishing the course I was glad that I took it, and impressed with the quality of a course that you can take without paying anything for it. I’ve worked through about half of the book so far, and it has really helped with the transition from Blender to Maya. I start a introducing autodesk maya 2016 free animation program this summer and wanted to get a head start on learning the software. I had done a fair bit of work in Blender before using Maya and thought I could just watch tutorials on YouTube to help me with the switch, but there doesn’t appear to be as many helpful tutorials out there for Maya as there are for Blender.
The way to get to the different tools and how to use them are way different in Maya from Blender. It was very frustrating. I bought this book to help me along, and it’s been a lifesaver.
