For me Bridge is much too slow for the big initial culling of new images. Photo Mechanic works much better, but sometimes I find the UI difficult and confusing to use. I think Glen is right although I suspect an Ultimate 11 may be due earlier than we think. So much competition about also at present and who will buy Ultimate 10 when 11 is released? I’m now inclined to agree with those who speculate that a version 11 must be close.

Don’t forget the competition. Affinity Photo is way cheaper. This will have effect on the prices of other software. There is mostly a grace period for perchasing software. Mostly within a month or 2 month of the purchase you’ll get the latest version for free, if it comes out just after purchase. What with Acdsee,Affinity, On1raw, Photodirector etc Adobe must be feeling the pinch and I understand Luminar for Windows is due soon so another one to add to the bunch and let’s not forget another company quite aggressive with their pricing ‘Corel’ I bought their Psp 9x ultimate some time ago for a silly price is there a 10x due?.

I suppose the one’s that benefit from all this are us the users. And, then there is their Mac version that is still for sale, which does not work with the newer versions of the Mac OS. Of course, there is the new Beta Mac version which does work but is not for sale yet.

To me the difference between U10 and U is not worth it It has smart erase which works on simpler context aware problems, a kind of crippled frequency separation function, a liquefy function, and more automatic “actions”.

It also has a few minor bugs still which, like U10 I’m sure will be corrected with updates – one of them is that the “e” key does not display the crop in the geometry tab.
